The Derricos Wikipedia page has attracted a lot of attention. The family, however, is not listed on the official Wikipedia page.
Derrick Deon Derrico, the father, was born on September 16, 1970, and Karen Evonne Carter, the mother, on February 26, 1980.
The couple was born in Detroit, Michigan, and married in 2002, an auspicious year.
Karen replied, “as many as God will give me,” when Deon asked how many children she desired.
When Karen added, “as many as God will give me,” Deon knew she was the one.
They had a boy four and a half years after their daughter, and twin sons soon followed.
They had quintuplets, two boys and three girls, before “slowing down but not stopping.”
The following pregnancy produced triplets, but the smallest died shortly after birth.
In his honor, the surviving two sons have been dubbed “tripling.”
Two years later, they had another set of triplets, this time two girls and a boy.
